It has been a busy week for Team Radipole – we have had two netball teams in action in the Budmouth League on Tuesday with more matches coming in the next few weeks. Mrs Tilsed, Mrs Lapham and Mr Squibb are really pleased with the progress our players are making and how quickly they are improving.

Today we took 2 teams to the 7 a side tournament at Redlands and both teams played really well. The boys were in a really tough side of the draw but aquitted themselved very well and played some superb football and showed great team spirit throughout. Mrs Tilsed was extremely pleased to see the  sportsmanship they showed during every match.

The girls, although very inexperienced, combined magnificently with the more experienced players encouraging everyone else to compete in a very competitive section. They were very unlucky to finish 3rd, missing 2nd place by 1 point and Mr Squibb was delighted by the teamspirit and enthusiasm throughout the day.

Yet again, all our children exhibited our ethos of team spirit, enjoyment of sport and respect.

All children involved today will receive their sports badge which we hope they will wear with pride. These badges are earned for 2 appearances for a school team or participation in a tournament or one off event and already there are quite a few children who have already earned their badges for this year through involvement in netball or football.

Well done and look out for your pictures which will go up on the sports board in the hall.
